Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 12 October 2026
In short: the total you see before you pay is what you pay. Your order is confirmed once your payment goes through. Times are our best estimate, and we'll tell you if they change. If we can't make your order, you get your money back.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use chopsbell.com and order from Chopsbell, DFF5, K City Plaza, Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja, Nigeria ("we", "us"). By placing an order, you agree to them, and to our Refund Policy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your details. You don't need an account to order.
2. Placing an order
- Choose your food, pickup or delivery, and when you want it: as soon as possible, or a time later today or tomorrow within our opening hours. Some items, such as party platters and bulk packs, need to be ordered a set time ahead (for example 24 hours); the menu shows this.
- Your order is placed when your payment is confirmed. We then email you the order number and a link to your order's page.
- We accept your order and email you the estimated delivery or pickup time. If we can't make it (for example an item has sold out, we can't deliver to your area, or we're too busy), we cancel it and refund you in full.
- Please check your phone number, email and address carefully: we use them to reach you about your order.
3. Prices and payment
- Prices are in naira (₦) and shown on the menu. Before you pay, checkout shows the food, the delivery fee (it depends on your area) and a payment processing fee, all added up in one total. That total is exactly what you pay.
- The payment processing fee is Paystack's charge for the payment, shown separately so that Chopsbell receives the full price of your order.
- You pay online through Paystack by card (Visa, Mastercard, Verve), bank transfer or USSD. We never see or keep your card details.
- Our prices can change. If a price changes while you're at checkout, we show you the new total before you pay. The price of an order you've paid for never changes.
4. Delivery
- We deliver to the areas listed at checkout. Delivery orders need a minimum amount of food (shown at checkout; pickup has no minimum). If your area isn't listed, chat with us on WhatsApp first.
- Delivery times are estimates. If your order is going to be noticeably earlier or later, we'll update the time on your order page and may email you.
- Please make sure someone is at the address and can be reached on the phone number given. Our riders call when they arrive.
- Your order is already paid: never pay the rider. If your order page shows a 4-digit delivery code, give it to the rider only once the food is in your hands.
- If the rider can't deliver because the address is wrong or nobody can be reached, see what happens in our Refund Policy.
5. Pickup
Collect your order from DFF5, K City Plaza, Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja, at the time we give you, and mention your order number. Food is best fresh: please collect it within 1 hour of the ready time, after which we can't guarantee its quality.
6. Bulk orders and events
- Discounted bulk packs are for events and parties: at least 50 packs in total (you can mix packs), ordered at least 24 hours ahead, and paid in full when you order. Payment confirms the order.
- On-site frying and serving at your event is booked on WhatsApp. Within Abuja it costs 25% of the order value for orders of ₦750,000 and above, or a standard ₦200,000 for 3 hours on site for smaller orders, and ₦50,000 for each extra hour.
7. Allergies and food safety
Our kitchen handles common allergens, including wheat (gluten), eggs, milk, soy, peanuts and other nuts, sesame and fish, so we can't promise that any dish is free from them. If you have a food allergy, please call or WhatsApp us before ordering. Hot food is best eaten straight away; keep leftovers in the fridge and eat them within a day.
8. Cancellations, problems and refunds
Our Refund Policy explains how to cancel, what to do if something is wrong with your order, and how refunds are paid.
9. Photos and the website
Food photos show how we serve each dish; drawings are used where we don't have a photo yet. Portions and presentation can vary a little. The website, its text, photos and logo belong to Chopsbell. We may update the website and menu at any time.
10. Our responsibility
We take care to make good food and deliver it well. As far as the law allows, our responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under Nigerian consumer law, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018. We aren't responsible for delays caused by things outside our control, such as severe weather, road closures or network outages, but we'll keep you informed.
11. If something goes wrong
Please contact us first: most problems are sorted out quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, can hear any dispute.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The terms that apply to an order are the ones on this page when you placed it.
